W e are developing collaboration with Sethu Institute of Technology and Gandhigram Rural Deemed University for solar cookers and marketing of Jatropha plants. If the tie up is facilitated we will get the wasteland in the Panchayat to opt for cultivation of Jatropha, which will be a source of income for the Panchayats and individuals. We also are making efforts to develop collaboration with Gandhi gram Rural Deemed University. The local NSS groups spent one week each in 2 Panchayats in cleaning up and teaching local youths to use computers. In the summer, 20 of the youths were trained for one week at information technology in computer, Wire winding and some technical works were imparted to women.
